Established in 2003, the Institution is part of a large education organization operating under the name of Babra Institutes of Education Ltd., which has its head office in Nairobi, Kenya. The Founder, Mr. G.S. Babra, had a desire to set up an institution of learning in India. His commitment was to set up a secure, safe andmodern institution to empower the girl child; thus, the birth of Shigally Hill International Academy, which gets its name from the Shigilly Hills where the school is situated. His aim was to create an institution which would take the best of both Western and Indian cultures to imbibe in SIA girls a formidable strength of character, and empower them to take their place in a changing world, not as second class citizens, but as leaders and full participants. The construction of the School began in the year 1997 and was completed in the year 2003.The first Academic session started on 1^st April 2003.
