#Inter-House Semi-Classical Dance and Music Competition

“The truest expression of a people is in its dance and its music. Bodies never lie.”
On 25th May the auditorium of Shigally International Academy beamed with the sound of soulful songs and graceful dance moves as we witnessed the Inter-House Semi Classical Dance and Music Competition.
The judges for the occasion were
Mr. Dinesh Tulsi Bhatt- HOD Music at The Aryan School
Mrs. Shiksha Bhatt- A trained Classical Odissi Dancer from Nirtya Kala Kendra
Mr. Mukesh Birla- Trained Choreographer under Shiamak Davar and also a participant in DID Season 1
The programme began with the lamp lighting by our esteemed judges, Principal Ma’am and Director Ma’am.
The first half of the programme included the house performing melodious bhajan which captivated the audience and took them back to the divine land of spirituality.
The second half of the programme included all the house performing, semi-classical dance and keeping the spectators hooked to their graceful moves and expressions.

The programme concluded with the judges enlightening the students on the importance of keeping oneself rooted in their cultural and music.

Lastly, the results were declared and the first prize for music was bagged by Rudraksha House
The second position was given to Gulmohar and the third position to Amaltas House.

The first prize for Semi Classical Dance was bagged by Amaltas House, the second prize was bagged by Rudraksh House and the third prize was bagged by Gulmohar House.

The programme ended on a happy note which taught each one of us the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
