On the 6th of May, Shigally Hill International Academy hosted the 2nd “Chintan Pravah”. It is an Inter -School Debate Competition and a total of nine schools participated in the competition which included

2. DOON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, RIVERSIDE
3. TOUCHWOOD SCHOOL
5. PURUKUL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY
6. ST. GEORGES COLLEGE
7. HIM JYOTI SCHOOL
8. TONS BRIDGE SCHOOL
9. SHIGALLY HILL INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY
The topic for the competition was Is our traditions worth the sacrifice for modern society the participants had to speak for or against the motion.
The competition was judged by a panel of well-acknowledged judges.
The judging panel consisted of Dr. Parul Aggarwal, Assistant Professor at Shri Guru Ram Rai Deemed University, Mrs. Rekha Tandon, Senior English Faculty at St. Joseph’s Academy, Ms. Preeti Nagra, HOD English at The Asian School and Dr. Anjali Gurung, Senior English Faculty at The Aryan School.
The debtors kept everyone hooked to their speeches which included well-researched facts. It was in fact a very tedious task for the judges to choose the winner.
Everyone gave an outstanding performance, but as we say we have to choose the best.
Thus,
The first position was bagged by PALAK TOMAR OF DOON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DALANWALA
*Second position * WAS BAGGED BY AMAN ULLAH OF PURUKUL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY
And the Third position WAS BAGGED BY DHRUV OM SHARMA OF PURUKUL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY.
Indeed the competition gave a new field for budding debaters to come forward and showcase their talent.
